Overview Let’s kick off the summer with music, family, and community at School of Rock’s Sounds of Summer Event in Katy, Texas! A Free Family Event to Celebrate Summer This isn’t your average neighborhood gathering. It’s an amped up celebration of music and community - School of Rock style. Whether you’ve been with us for years or you're just curious about how our students go from beginner to rockstar, this free, all-ages summer event is your backstage pass to see what makes the School of Rock community so special. Event Details Date: Saturday, May 2nd Time: 2pm - 5pm Location: School of Rock Katy, 3750 S. Mason Road Suite 800 Cost: Free and open to the public! Here’s a rundown of the activities Watch our students shred the stage in killer live performances Get your face painted or enjoy an organic popsicle from King of Pops Summertime Friendship Bracelets in the craft room or one-of-a-kind reverse tie-dye t-shirts out front with Maddy! Tour our lesson and rehearsal rooms Grab exclusive day-of deals on our summer music camps Meet the band (aka our teachers, students, and crew) Don't miss out on our Gear Giveaway! Bring a friend and you are BOTH ENTERED! Meet our Vendors! Texas ABA Centers will be back to share their services with our community! Don't miss the fun swag they bring! King of Pops is BACK! They'll be selling their organic, dye-free popsicles in so many tasty flavors to help beat the heat! Drawing Booth Photography will be set up to capture the moment for friends and family! Get your Summertime pics done by this amazing professional photographer! 3 pics for $20 and 5 pics for $30. Delivered digitally the day after the event! String King Matt will be on site for guitar set-ups! Get your guitar or bass set up by a pro to get ready for the Spring End of Season shows! For $20, you get new strings, a clean and some minor repairs.
