About this Event

Long before Photoshop, the Surrealists were splicing reality together with scissors and paste — and in this hands-on workshop, you will too. Inspired by Max Ernst's collage novels and the movement's fascination with dreams and the unconscious, we'll raid a stack of magazines and recombine the images into scenes that feel like they escaped from someone's subconscious.You'll pick up a few surrealist techniques along the way — impossible juxtapositions, wild shifts in scale, chance selection — and leave with a finished piece (or several).No art background required, just a willingness to trust the cut.Space is limited, so please register in person, online, or by calling the library at 281-395-1311.This program is for ages 14 and up
